A friend and former colleague of mine at the Aquarium sent me the pictures below. They have two sea lions in quarantine at the moment, each in their own quarantine kennels and separated by a fence. Everyday, somehow, one of the sea lions manages to escape and find its way into the other sea lion's kennel and no one could figure out how this was happening. A mammalogist would go to fed the sea lions and suddenly find both of them in one kennel, instead of in their own separate kennels. It would always happen when no one was around. So, last week, one of the mammalogists went to hide and spy and monitor the sea lion's activity. This is what she saw...

He hoisted himself up and pulled himself OVER the fence....

Then jumps in the water...

Then goes to greet and play with his friend.
Turns out, he was just really lonely and wanted to be with his friend, not by himself.
How cute is that?? I must've laughed for 10 minutes straight. He was that desperate to have some company.
